Come dine with us at our Malaysian Streetfood Supperclub! As kids we used to love going to night markets in Malaysia (pasar malam) on a Friday or Saturday night serving a variety of delicious streetfood snacks. Another weekend treat was a trip to the local hawker centre (appropriately named Glutton Square) where streetfood traders would serve a variety of Malay, Indian and Chinese inspired dishes meant for sharing.

Its these memories that have inspired this streetfood supperclub, bringing together a real fusion of Malaysian flavours, guaranteed to get your tastebuds tingling and leaving your stomach happy (but very full).

Now that CNY is over what have we got to look forward to culinary wise next? Well we are very excited to be launching our signature King Prawn, scallop and crab Laksa Bisque at @L’AutrePied in Marylebone over a long Sunday feasting lunch menu on 26/02/2017. We were first inspired to create this dish when we catered for a supperclubber friend’s wedding in September last year and oh boy is this good! The flavours of the delicate shell fish just come together so well and the fresh lemongrass, curry leaves, lime leaves, chilli ,galangal and coconut milk finished off with a  dollop of cream take the concept of Bisque to a whole new level! Super excited and hope to see some of you lovely people on the 26/2! To book please follow the link http://www.edibleexperiences.com/p/46053/Wild-Serai/5032002/Malaysian-Sunday-Lunch-Feasting-Menu

Our Chinese New Year Feasting

Another piece de resistance was my Aunty Mary’s signature homemade Yong Tau Foo (stuffed vegetables and fishballs). This was superb served with her special secret yong tau foo sauce and homemade chilli sauce and looked quite the piece served in a beautiful housewarming platter gift from a close friend (Alex’s mum) with some gold leaf silk table mats as a back drop (another lovely housewarming gift from Su) and a heart shape white bowl from another dear friend. Aren’t I a lucky girl? A simply stunning combination of food and display ware if  I might say so myself! 🙂
