This chef really understands ‘taste’ which to me is the most important element of dining..Each dish was so delicious, even though I’m no expert on Malaysian cuisine. The crab was exquisite and the prawns equally so. I could hardly manage the steamed seabass! Good company was an added bonus. Will definitely return here.

My partner and I have attended several supper clubs hosted by Wild Serai and kept coming back for the authentic taste of home (and my Chilli Crab fix). This Chinese New Year, I did not manage to get back to Malaysia and relied on Yolanda & co. for an authentic CNY meal. I was not disappointed and to be honest, the Yee Sang served was better than the ones I had in Malaysia.

I was looking forward to the Malaysian Chilli Supper Club’s Chinese New Year celebration! The food was absolutely amazing. We had Giant Prawn Cracker with small Chicken Curry Puff to get our gastric juices working. Yolanda brought out the first course which is the Prosperity Salad (Lo Hei/Yusheng) served with Sashimi grade Salmon. I was asked to sprinkle more I gredientson top & with Y’s help, sauces were poured & we all stood up to toss the salad to welcome the Year of the Dog! A bit messy but we proceeded to help ourselves & this was the most deliciously well balanced Prosperity Salad I have ever eaten. A large dish of giant Chilli Crabs arrived & was served with Fried Mantou (to soak up the yummilucious sauce). This is finger food with a couple of tools needed. The Cornish Brown Crab is perfect for this dish because the firm sweet flavour crab meat absorbs the sauce. Not too spicy just enhance the crab meat beautifully! Hot steamed rice arrived just in time to absorb more flavoursome sauce. I am not definitely NOT on my low carb diet today! We could smell Curry Leaves & the massive Madagascar King Prawns arrived. Another finger food that only oficianados of King Prawns will appreciate the sucking of The scrumptious juices from the shells! Kang King Belacan – Morning Glory/Water Spinanach with dried shrinks & stir fry in the SE Asian Prawn pasts – totally delicious! More rice needed to accompany the vegetables. Then the Steamed Sea Bass – wow – a huge Sea Bass steamed to perfection Chinese Style! The accompanying sauce was perfect! Do we have room for the Mochi? Yes – the Tuan Yuan with Black Sesame Seeds, Peanuts & Red Bean Paste was perfect! Followed by Chrysanthemum Tea & a large bowl of fruits (Mandarin Orange & Pomelo) decorated with Hong Bao (containing a Pineapple Tart/Salted Egg Cookie). I highly recommend Wild Serai Supper Club as I have now booked to sample the Malaysian Street Food Supper Club on Sunday, 18th March 2018. Meanwhile, back to Tennis, Zumba, Aquafit & my low carb diet!

It’s true to the suggest, I was blown away by the amazing lobster laksa bisque. Everything in the meal was perfect, from friendly host to the cozy home atmosphere with the freshest ingredients that brought the Malaysian gastronomic experience to another level. Highly recommended.
The best chilli crab I have ever eaten – and all the other morsels (vegetable curry puffs, satay chicken, jumbo prawns) were just as yummy. Set in a cosy home in South London with warm and welcoming hosts and excellent conversation. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves truly authentic Asian food.
My first supper club and what a fantastic experience. Wild Serai delivered some amazingly authentic Malaysian flavours which reminded me of home and such a friendly atmosphere with fellow foodies – would def recommend, one of the best Malaysian food in London and fun meeting new people , can’t wait til the next event!
What a great evening. The chili crab was truly magical. Best crab I have ever eaten. Great venue and the Wild Serai crew truly love what they do.
Great event. Lovely host good food. Very enjoyable.

The Ultimate Nasi Lemak Experience
“The rendang packs a punch, these guys know what they’re doing. Even when Yolanda confesses to having used the wrong quantity of peppercorns in the recipe, making it much spicier than anticipated, it’s still WOW. It’s slow cooking, but taking it to a whole new level.”

Malaysian Chilli Crab Experience
“Yolanda explains that this Chilli crab is a little bit different to the crab sauces we may be expecting, with a more sour flavour, compared to what is used in most restaurants and true enough, it’s not what I expect. The sauce is still quite runny and is so easily soaked up by the Mantou buns; the hot soft rolls that go so well with the spicy yet sweet sauce currently dripping all over my hands. No matter, we’re all friends here and I feel absolutely no shame in licking my hands.
Sambal Prawns and Kang Kong Belachan make up the sides, although in any setting other than this, they would never be considered sides, they’re heroes in their own right. These prawns are positively enormous and drowning in spicy sambal, it goes perfectly with the equally zingy but complementary Kang Kong (Water Spinach) cooked in Belachan, a strong smelling shrimp paste. No really, it’s delicious, much better than that may sound!”
